Why am I getting roaming charges while using a BENOsim?
Why am I getting roaming charges while using a BENOsim?
If your carrier is billing you for roaming despite using a BENOsim, it’s likely your primary SIM is still active in the background.
Here are your two best options:
Option 1: Disable your main SIM while traveling
This ensures you won’t be charged for incoming/outgoing calls or texts through your original number. (iMessage and FaceTime will still work if they're connected to your Apple ID.)
Option 2: Ask your carrier to remove the daily travel plan
Instead of a flat-rate travel plan, you can opt for pay-per-use billing for any calls or texts. This may be more cost-efficient depending on your usage.
If you see unexpected charges, your carrier is likely billing you per call/text. Disabling your primary SIM during your trip can prevent this.
