My QR code won’t scan — what should I do?


Here are some steps to help you resolve QR code issues:




Is your device eSIM-compatible?


Confirm your phone supports eSIM and is unlocked if compatibility exists.



Are you connected to Wi-Fi?


A Wi-Fi connection is necessary to install the eSIM. We recommend installing it over Wi-Fi at home before your trip. For multi-country plans, verify the destination is supported before proceeding.



Manual installation


If the QR code fails, you can input details manually. BENO sends a manual activation code via email along with the QR code. On the QR scan screen, tap “Enter details manually” and input the code.



eSIM might already be installed


The QR code can only be scanned once. If you get a message like "Cannot add data plan", check your device’s SIM manager to confirm if the eSIM was already added.
