How to Install and Activate BENOsim on Samsung Devices
How to Install and Activate BENOsim on Samsung Devices
If you're planning to use your Samsung device for international travel, we recommend setting up your eSIM while you're still at home—preferably with a reliable Wi-Fi or data connection. That way, you’ll be ready to activate your plan as soon as you arrive at your destination.
Installation via SIM Manager - QR Code Method
- Open the [BENOsim] app, select the eSIM you want to install, tap [Go To Install], and choose the [QR Code Installation] option.
- Share the QR code to another device so you can scan it, or if you’re using a Galaxy S22 or later, simply take a screenshot of the code.
- Go to [Settings > Connections > SIM manager].
- Tap [Add eSIM] or [Add mobile plan], then select [Scan QR code].
- Scan the QR code, or tap the photo icon to upload the screenshot. Confirm installation to proceed.
Important:
If you run into any issues during installation, contact us immediately at [help@benosim.com]. Do not delete your eSIM—they can only be installed once per device and should be kept even after the plan expires, in case you want to top it up later.
Installation via SIM Manager - Manual Entry Method
If scanning the QR code isn’t possible, you can manually enter your activation code through your settings.
- In the [BENOsim] app, select your eSIM, tap [Go To Install], then scroll down to [Manual Installation]. Copy the [SM-DP+Address & Code].
- On your phone, go to [Settings > Connections > SIM manager], then tap [Add eSIM].
- Select [Scan QR code], then tap [Enter activation code] to manually paste the copied information.
- When prompted with [Add BENOsim eSIM?], tap [Add] or [Continue] to complete the process.
Reminder:
If anything goes wrong, contact us at [support@benosim.com], and remember: do not delete your eSIM.
Activating Your Data
To connect to your data network, make sure you're physically located within the country/region covered by your data package.
Note:
If you've used a carrier’s travel plan before, contact your provider to ensure it doesn’t auto-renew when you’re abroad.
- Turn On Your eSIM
- Go to [Settings > Connections > SIM manager]
- Make sure your new eSIM is toggled ON
- On some Samsung models, go to [Mobile Networks], turn on eSIM, and enable both [Mobile Data] and [Data Roaming]
- Set Your eSIM as the Preferred Data SIM
- In [Settings > Connections > SIM manager], scroll to [Preferred SIM] or [Primary SIM]
- If you want to keep using your regular phone number, assign your usual SIM for [Calls and Messages], and set [BENOsim] for [Mobile data]
- If not, simply set [BENOsim] as your default SIM
- Enable Data Roaming for eSIM
- Go to [Settings > Connections]
- Tap [Global roaming] or [Mobile networks] — this step may vary depending on your device or carrier.
- Toggle [Data Roaming] ON
This step is essential. Without Data Roaming turned on, your eSIM won’t be able to connect to the local network.
- Check Your APN Settings
- Navigate to [Settings > Connections > Mobile Network > Access Point Names]
- Make sure the active APN shows the APN corresponding to the country you’re currently visiting.
- Verify Network Selection
- Head to [Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > BENOsim]
- Make sure [Select Automatically] is enabled. This allows your device to connect to the strongest available network in the region.
